Etymology:
after Opheltes (Greek: Ὀφέλτην), in Greek mythology, the infant son of the Nemean king Lycurgus and Queen Eurydice, whose death by a serpent was correctly interpreted by Amphiaraus to be of bad omen for the Seven against Thebes
