Etymology:
in honor of Henri Ribaut (1872–1967), a French entomologist, who specialised in Auchenorrhyncha and Myriapoda, Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (France, Paris) + Delphax (treated as feminine by Wagner, 1963)
