Etymology:
Greek: ευ (true, good, typical) + Fairmairia Signoret, 1872 (Hemiptera, Coccidae), in honor of Léon Marc Herminie Fairmaire (1820–1906), a French entomologist who specialized in Coleoptera, Muséum National d'Histoire Naturelle (France, Paris) (the name is treated as masculine in the original publication)
