Gender, form, and etymology

Etymology:

an arbitrary combination of letters (Dworakowska, I. & Viraktamath, C.A., 1975a:521); after Anak Krakatau (Indonesian: "child of Krakatau"), an island situated between Java and Sumatra; on December 29, 1927, it emerged by the explosive volcanic eruption which destroyed the island of Krakatau
